All 5th grade classes will receive information on the upcoming Battle of the Books during their media classes in September.  The Battle will be held April 17, 2020, and it is a program sponsored by the Howard County Public Library.  We relay information from the public library on how the battle works, the book list for the battle, and where to find important information such as upcoming meetings at the library.  Teams of 5 fifth grade students from the same school must have an adult coach who will register the team, prepare the team and attend mandatory meetings at the library.  Coaches must be 18 years or older, and are usually parents of team members.  For detailed information, including important changes to rules, please visit the public library website:
